It’s obvious why you should choose the xbox 360 console above those “other” ones right? Let’s point out the obvious already. One word. One helluva word.
HALO.
If it hasn’t changed your life, it will when you play it. Ideally, you should start with Halo: Combat Evolved and move your way up through Halo 2, 3, and Reach. Doesn’t it make you shiver?
I remember the first time I played Combat Evolved. I couldn’t believe my eyes! The graphics were amazing, the battles were bloody and the story made me wet the bed at night. With the latest blockbuster games out these days, you obviously can’t compare the game’s graphics or multiplayer (wait, Halo 1 wasn’t on xbox live? Xbox live didn’t exist for Combat Evolved. That didn’t stop me from having LAN parties in the basement with 15 other die-hards. Anyway…) Like GoldenEye for N64, the game changed how we experience FPS’s all over again.
Here are 3 easy steps to get a faster rank in Halo: Reach.
Step 1: Never quit games. No matter how bad you’re losing, never quit. You will be punished and you will have to wait to play if you quit 5 consecutive games. Bungie punish people because people kept complaining about people leaving. Due to connection issues or other reasons. So they implemented something that would punish people who would leave. Also, the ban tracks you for a couple of hours. So say you left 5 matches in a row. You get quit banned. After 2 days of not quitting you quit. You get banned. It takes about a month for it to be lifted.
I actually see less people rage quit this game than in Halo 3. In plus if you are mad at the game I think you need a 10 minute break to just chill out or to think of a different game to play. Seriously if you don’t enjoy and all you do is rage go sell it or stop playing it.
Step 2: Teamwork. Play with decent folk. Teamwork is defined in Webster’s New World Dictionary as “a joint action by a group of people, in which each person subordinates his or her individual interests and opinions to the unity and efficiency of the group.” This does not mean that the individual is no longer important; however, it does mean that effective and efficient teamwork goes beyond individual accomplishments. The most effective teamwork is produced when all the individuals involved harmonize their contributions and work towards a common goal. Members work interdependently and work towards both personal and team goals, and they understand these goals are accomplished best by mutual support.
Step 3: Persevere. Keep playing the game. The more games you win in a row, the higher chance you have of getting a jackpot. Keep practicing too. Perfect practice makes perfect play.
The next time you play your favorite video game Halo Reach on your xbox 360, remember these things and you will rank up quickly.
